Going for a splash with Barefeet coaster- my coasteering adventure

Whilst I was in Cornwall we headed down with Barefeet coasteering to jump, climb and swim along the beautiful coastline of Newquay! I had an incredible time so I thought I’d share my experience :)

It was an afternoon session so we headed down to Fistral beach for about midday. The beach itself was so pretty and sandy so very much a bit of me. A great location to try out coasteering! I had very little expectations of what it was going to be like, but very eager to find out!

As soon as we got there, we met up with Nick who runs the experience and he was so welcoming! Straight away got our kit and safety gear sorted. You were provided wiuth everything- wetsuit, helmets, life jacket, etc!

My favourite thing about the coasteering experience was that Nick and Noah were really engaging- they made the experience super fun. I thought it was impressive how they got everyone engaged and having fun when our group was so diverse. There was some children, young adults (us!) and adults- all of which were having a laugh and a great time.

After a short walk we dived straight into coasteering… literally! The jumps started off small and got progressively taller until we reach 5/6 ft jumps! I really enjoyed how many different cliff jumps that we got to do. It really got the heart racing. Nick wenrt at the pace of the group! He didn’t push you too hard but still made sure that you were progressing and doing the best you could :)

Not only did we do cliff jumping, we also did some swimming, scrambling and climbing which really made the experience interesting! The water wasn’t too cold and super clear which really added to the experience. I would 10000% love to come back and do another coasteering adventure with Nick- apparently the ccaves open up through July/august time so I would love to come back and explore those!

Would you give coasteering a go?
